Moog Messenger: Wavefolders and Sub-Oscillator
We begin by looking at traditional oscillator shapes provided by Messenger oscillators, from sawtooth waves to squares and variable pulses as well as triangle waves. We then look at using unique diode-transistor hybrid wavefolders of Messenger to fold triangle wave and achieve wide range of additional oscillator tones and layer both oscillators together to add motion. We finally explore unique waveshaping capabilities of Messenger sub-oscillator and look at how we can use its triangle shape to add low end to our tone without adding upper harmonics.
