Astana mayor's office conducts work to maintain food prices

The residents of the capital city can buy vegetables, oil and cereals at low market prices in more than 10 trade pavilions. The Astana administration began actively working to keep the prices for basic food products down. This has been achieved with the help of specific memoranda between the executive authorities and owners of shopping facilities. The contracts specify the social responsibility of business. In addition, the city administration has created a stabilization fund. The first lot of products from its reserve has already been supplied to the shops at low market prices.
