Leslie Judah Solley (15 December 1905 – 8 January 1968) was a British politician and barrister who also wrote music, using the pseudonym Leslie Clair. In the 1940s he was prominent in the Songwriters Guild of Great Britain. He wrote many pieces of music in his life, including the songs for 'The Adventures Of Twizzle', an early British television series for children. His masterwork, an orchestral fantasy,';'Music For Orchestra' was written in 1948 but remained undiscovered until 2008, well after his death. 'Dance Of The Blue Marionettes' is a 1947 work which Leslie Clair had arranged by Len Stevens for the Chappell Recorded Music Library. The performance is by the Queen's Hall Light Orchestra conducted by Sidney Torch (C.321A). Side B features two short Len Stevens compositions 'Point To Point' and 'Cinema Foyer'.
