1970 Plymouth GTX 440+6 Pack IThe 1970 Plymouth GTX offered smoother lines with restyled front fenders and a new bulging scooped hood. Still featuring much of the standard equipment as the Road Runner, the 70' GTX dropped the Convertible model option. Optional 15x7 Rallye wheels with F60-15 Goodyear tires became available for the first time. Engine options still included a 440, with 375hp, a 440+6 with 390 hp and the 426 Hemi rated at 425 hp. Optional with the 440+6, and standard with the Hemi was the latest version of the Air Grabber hood that featured a single flap that could be raised or lowered from inside the car. Sales continued to suffer and only 7,748 GTXs were sold. Only 72 were ordered with the Hemi and 768 with the 440+6.
