Javier Gavara plays the Gerundino Fernández 1962 flamenco guitar for sale

This flamenco guitar dates from 1962, and it is the FIRST guitar made by Gerundino Fernández, upon José Tripiana Rodríguez´s request. This guitarist was a good one at then, and one of Gerundino´s great friends. To Gerundino was dedicated Jose´s first prize in the 4th International Contest of Master Guitar Builders of UNESCO. All this make this guitar a true gem, part of the history of flamenco. Made of carefully selected woods,it has to be said that the German spruce top has got a straight, even and very marked grain all along its surface. The back and sides are of the highest quality. The sound is extraordinary, with an unbeatable character. The basses are powerful, with extraordinary depth. The trebles are crystal clear and bright, with great scope and sustain, and showing a perfect balance between both of them.
